  • Year 1 & 2 trip to Discover Story Centre

    Tue 05 Mar 2024

As a highlight of our Book Week festivities, Year 1 and 2 embarked on a thrilling journey to the Discover Story Centre in Stratford. Boarding The Box Rocket, we voyaged through the cosmos on an extraordinary intergalactic escapade to an enchanting planet. Commander Dapo entrusted us with a vital quest – to reignite the mystical Story Stone and restore magic to the planet. The interactive exhibition sparked joy and excitement, igniting the children's imaginations as they immersed themselves in the adventure!

  • World Book Week- Day 1

    Mon 04 Mar 2024

To start off our week celebrating and enjoying books, all the children chose their favourite book from a range of texts. The children then went to different classrooms with a mixture of children from all key stages to hear their choice of book being read.

What a great start to the week!

  • Chestnut Class CST principle in action!

    Fri 01 Mar 2024

In Chestnut class, we have been learning our Catholic Social Teaching Principe- Option for the Poor. We discussed that there are many people who are less fortunate than ourselves and that if we can put other people’s needs before our own then we should try.

With this in mind, we collected food for the local group- The Source Pitstop. Mrs Allen, came in to explain what the organisation does for those who are less fortunate than us and she also gave us ideas on things that we could bring in.

After collecting a vast amount, we delivered it. All of the people at The Source were grateful and so proud of us.

  • Wates Construction - Health and Safety Assembly

    Fri 01 Mar 2024

St. Joseph’s had a special visitor called Georgie from Wates Construction Company who came in to speak to us about the importance of health and safety on construction sites. She brought along some protective clothing for children to try on too! We are looking forward to taking part in the health and safety poster competition that Georgie has set for us all.
