Fri 20 Mar 2026Our school community came together to joyfully celebrate St Joseph’s Feast Day. We began the morning by welcoming parents and carers to a lovely Tea and Coffee Morning, creating a warm and friendly start to the day. We then gathered for a beautiful and solemn Mass led by Father Paul, giving thanks for the example and protection of our patron saint. The celebrations continued with a range of fun and engaging St Joseph’s Day activities. Our EYFS and KS1 families enjoyed a special Stay and Play, where parents and carers joined their children in creating wonderful arts and crafts inspired by St Joseph. To end our day of festivities, the children danced the afternoon away at our exciting St Joseph’s Day Disco—a joyful finish to a memorable celebration of faith, community and our patron saint.
St Joseph,
Guardian and protector,
Guide our school family with your gentle strength.
Help us to work with kindness,
serve others with love,
and trust in God as you did each day.
Watch over our homes, our school and our community.
St Joseph, pray for us. Amen. -
British Science Week
Fri 13 Mar 2026British Science Week
6th – 15th March 2026
This week we celebrated British Science Week — a nationwide celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths. This year’s theme was Curiosity, and our children fully embraced it!
To kick things off, the children enjoyed an exciting Science Week launch video, sparking their interest in the wonders of STEM. They then took part in a hands‑on slime workshop, where they created their own slime and were introduced to Newton’s Laws and the fascinating world of non‑Newtonian fluids.
The excitement continued throughout the week as pupils joined a variety of STEM webinars and workshops, learning from scientists and engineers who helped bring real‑world science to life.
Back in the classroom, curiosity truly took centre stage as the children explored different science experiments, asked thoughtful questions, and investigated how the world around them works.
It was a fun, inspiring and curiosity‑filled week—one that encouraged our young learners to think like scientists and explore with confidence!

Year 3 Volcano and Earthquake Workshop at the Natural History Museum
Mon 09 Mar 2026Year 3 had a fantastic experience today becoming Earth Scientists at the Natural History Museum. They attended a fantastic workshop in which they learned about and demonstrated the use of a seismometer, which earth scientists use to measure seismic activity in the earth, indicating tectonic plate movement. They learned about which types of volcanoes produce effusive eruptions, which produce explosive eruptions and how that affects the shape of the volcano. They learned about the equipment volcanologists need to wear when they study eruptions first hand with live lava flows and, most exciting of all, they experienced an earthquake simulator. What a fantastic trip!
